Hi! I am Elizabeth “Ely” Reisen, owner and mental health professional at Connection Centered Counseling. Many people feel curious about the professional they select as their therapist. I’d love to get to know you. Until then, here’s a little bit about me.

I am educated as a clinical social worker and marriage and family therapist. As a bilingual (English and Spanish) therapist, I feel passionately about bringing people together, whether it is in their own families or in their communities. I am EMDR and DBT trained and am also trained to practice Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy, which is a body-based therapy designed to soothe the nervous system.

I draw from training in family systems work, cognitive and behavioral therapies, and somatically-based trauma treatments. I also hold a heavy dose of trust in the human capacity to heal.

I am strengths-focused, and warm. People often describe me as being strong and comforting at the same time; capable of nurturing and supporting while also giving a confident push when needed.

I am also a single mother by choice, which means that I chose to enter motherhood as a single person. I love to work with parents from all backgrounds to support their experience and sense of fulfillment in parenting.

While I base my practice out of Longmont, CO, I recently made the decision to relocate to Round Rock, TX, to enjoy more connection with family. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my kid, getting out into nature, and spending time with people I love. Tacos and chai tea often fuel me, as does good sleep, belly laughs, and witnessing small, hopeful happenings in the world.
